March 12th was 8 days ago but it feels so distant, like it happened weeks or even months ago. Earlier that day, it was announced that Fennesz had cancelled the remainder of his tour and that Chicago would be the last show. That night definitely felt like the end of a lot of things. I knew it would be the last show I’d play in awhile and it would probably be the last time I’d be in a club or bar for a long time. Still, everyone that I talked to seemed positive about the future and being around each other listening and feeling the music felt really good. I’m so glad that Kenny at the Empty Bottle thought to record the show. I want to remember that night - feeling nervous before playing, just getting lost in loud music, among human beings.
