5 years of Weird Times. Truly the weirdest years of my life. Most of our lives I guess. These songs were made from unused guitar demos sampled with a Casio SK-5. At the time the limitations of the 8-bit sound quality & recording process were appealing to me. When I was making them I’d title them in numerical order “SK5-1, SK5-2 etc…” I sent some to a friend and she said something like “you should make 50 of these” so I tried to make as many as I could. She’s a bit more ambitious than I am, I think I only got to 30 or so (Thanks Haley). These four were on the original sequence that I sent to Hands in the Dark but didn’t make the album for whatever reasons. They’ve been bouncing around my head this whole time so the 5 year anniversary seemed like a good time to let them go.
